Max Bartmann is the Vice President of Investments at Empire State Realty Trust. He is responsible for sourcing and executing new investment opportunities, as well as overseeing real estate acquisitions and asset management activities to support the growth and strategic direction of ESRT’s portfolio.
Mr. Bartmann is a seasoned real estate professional with over 10 years in real estate private equity and development experience across a broad range of asset classes and capital structures. Prior to joining ESRT, he spent five years at Montgomery Street Partners, a diversified real estate private equity firm with $8 billion in assets under management. During his tenure, he sourced and executed investments across a broad range of asset classes and helped raise $600 million in equity for the firm’s Ground Lease REIT, which specializes in ground lease capital investments across the top 30 MSAs. Earlier in his career, he worked at Tribeca Investment Group, a New York-based owner and operator known for executing complex development projects.
Mr. Bartmann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University. Outside of his professional work, he is a dedicated youth mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a non-profit organization that supports one-on-one mentoring relationships to help children reach their full potential.
