Susanne J. Lieu is the Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel, Real Estate, for Empire State Realty Trust. Ms. Lieu is responsible for overseeing all legal facets for real estate matters.
Prior to joining ESRT in 2021, she served as a Managing Director at Ruben Companies, where she handled real estate and operational matters, as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling, LLP and Mayer Brown, LLP, and as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Eugene R. Wedoff of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Lieu is currently a member of the New York Women Executives in Real Estate.
She graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Accounting and earned her J.D. at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago.
