Must-Attend CRE Broker Events in NYC in 2026

January 19, 2026

Commercial real estate in New York is a year-round market. For busy CRE brokers, the right conferences and targeted networking gatherings produce market intelligence, leads, and relationships that get the deal done.

Below is a month-by-month calendar of 2026 conferences, summits, and mixers that every broker should have on their radar. Check back frequently for updates!

January

REBNY Annual – Jan. 22

New York’s signature industry gathering hosts senior brokers, property owners, institutional investors, and public officials. The 130th REBNY Annual will be held at the Waldorf Astoria and remains the single most important winter networking moment for NYC brokers.

Bisnow New York Market Forecasts and Winter Series – Various Dates

Bisnow runs multiple New York market briefings early in the year, which are high-value events for brokers tracking seasonal leasing and capital markets trends. Check Bisnow’s NYC calendar for sector-specific sessions on office, multifamily, retail, and more

February – March

Bisnow New York Conferences (multifamily, retail, conversions & building upgrades, etc.)

Bisnow programs a steady stream of New York sector events in late winter and early spring; these are practical, broker-oriented sessions for market intelligence and local lead generation.

Events in February and March include:

Monthly/Local Mixers – Ongoing

Local industry mixers (broker meetups, topical roundtables, and industry happy hours) occur monthly across Manhattan and Brooklyn. These recurring gatherings, typically hosted by property owners, are especially useful for mid-market deal flow and referral building.

April

Bisnow New York: Infrastructure/State of Market

Bisnow’s spring slate frequently includes state-of-market and infrastructure/transportation panels that move capital and tenant strategies in NYC.

This year’s events will include:

May

Commercial Observer State of the Office Forum – May 14

Commercial Observer’s annual State of the Office forum will take place, where real estate’s top players converge to chat about what drives the current leasing market.

June

CRE Finance Council Annual Conference – June 8-10

CREFC’s mid-year conference is essential for brokers who are focused on capital markets, as lenders, special servicers, and debt investors frequently attend. For brokers focused on debt-led transactions and finance relationships, this event is high priority.

July – August

Summer Networking and Small-Group Broker Events – Ongoing

Small, targeted events will dominate mid-summer calendars, like Commercial Observer’s Summer Networking Reception. These events are the perfect places to reconnect with potential leads from earlier in the year.

September

New York Office Leasing & Asset Management Conference – TBD

This office-sector conference focuses on leasing strategy, tenant demands, and asset-level repositioning. It is a prime opportunity for brokers who advise occupiers or handle new-lease transactions in Manhattan.

Regional Bisnow September Programming – TBD

Bisnow’s fall cycle resumes with state-of-market and vertical-specific meetings where brokers can rub elbows with capital, owner, and operator audiences.

October

CREtech New York – Oct. 20-21

CREtech New York 2026, held at the Javits Center, is the primary proptech conference for commercial real estate. For brokers who want to apply technology to lead generation, marketing listings, or improved workflow, CREtech is the top annual proptech marketplace in NYC.

November – December

Year-End Recap Sessions, REBNY/Industry Roundtables, and Private Sponsor Events

As the year closes, expect executive roundtables, year-in-review briefings, and sponsored holiday gatherings that are valuable for deal follow-ups and plans for 2027.

Tips for Brokers

  1. Prioritize by deal strategy. If you specialize in office leasing, prioritize office-focused summits. If you run investment listings, capital markets events (CREFC, Bisnow capital markets sessions) are all great options.
  2. Mix big conferences with targeted meetups. Large conferences (REBNY Annual, CREtech, CREFC) are great for new relationships; smaller mixers and sector roundtables can produce quick referrals.
  3. Prepare a 30-second value pitch and a follow-up plan. Capture key notes or contact details and follow up within 48–72 hours with a personalized message that references the conversation.
  4. Leverage panels. Attend one or two panels at every conference where your lead targets will speak.
  5. Keep an events spreadsheet. Track who you meet, the next steps, and a reminder to follow up.
